from the Pittsburgh Pirates dugout, Beal captured a portion of this
game against the San Diego Padres. Among the Pirates visible in the
clip are Dave Parker (#39), Tony Pena (#6), Dale Berra (#4), Johnny Ray
(#3), Jason Thompson (#30), and manager Chuck Tanner. Padres' pitcher
Eric Show (#30) is seen fouling off a number of pitches before finally
striking out. The Pirates’ mascot, the Pirate Parrot, also
makes several appearances throughout the clip. The Pirates went
on to win the game 10-1, finishing the 1983 season in second place. |
