Ambrotypes are images on glass; they can be easily broken or cracked. There are several ways to stabilize an ambrotype.
1) Lightly dust the glass or exposed surface of an ambrotype with a soft brush. 2) Create a micro-enviornment by wrapping the ambrotype in acid-free paper and tie with flat cotton tape or make an individual folder.

Store in a cool, dry dark area where temperature and humidity do not fluctuate. Ideal temperatures are 65° - 68° F and 40%-50% RH.
